Dr. J.D.
Moon
Dr. J.D. Moon discovered his passion for dentistry at just 15 years old. He began his academic journey at the University of Iowa and went on to earn his dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School. After graduation, he proudly took over the practice of Dr. Jeffrey Bassman, continuing a legacy of compassionate, patient-centered care.
Outside the office, Dr. Moon enjoys yoga, scuba diving, cooking, and spending quality time entertaining family and friends. He and his wife Kris have three children and are proud grandparents to three beautiful grandchildren.
What Dr. Moon values most about his profession is the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients, often treating multiple generations within the same family. He looks forward to continuing to serve the community for many years to come.
Dr. Christy
Bulman
A proud Quad Cities native, Dr. Christy Bulman always knew she wanted to return home to serve the community she loves. After earning her dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2006, she joined QC Family Dentistry, where she’s been building strong connections with patients ever since.
Dr. Bulman married her husband Chad in 2003, and together they are proud parents to their two daughters, Callie and Cambrie, born in 2010 and 2012. When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her cheering on her daughters as a dedicated “dance mom” or supporting the Pleasant Valley Platinum dance team. She’s also an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
What Dr. Bulman enjoys most about dentistry is the opportunity to form lasting relationships with her patients, being a small part of their lives and making a meaningful difference. She brings her positive energy and compassionate care to QC Family Dentistry every single day.
Dr. Jonathan
Turner
With over 15 years of experience in dentistry, and the last five proudly spent serving patients at QC Family Dentistry, Dr. Jonathan Turner is dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve healthy, confident smiles. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and is known for delivering personalized, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
As a general dentist, Dr. Turner provides a full range of dental services and has completed advanced training in clear aligner orthodontics, offering modern, discreet solutions for patients seeking straighter smiles. His approach is rooted in patient comfort, education, and preventive care, ensuring a positive experience at every visit.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Turner enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife, Karrie, and their two energetic boxers. Whether hiking, biking, kayaking in events like Floatzilla, or joining local community rides, he stays active and engaged in the community. He’s also an avid (and ever-improving) golfer.
Dr. Joseph
Shie
Dr. Joseph Shie is proud to call Davenport his hometown. A graduate of Davenport Central High School, Dr. Shie first discovered his passion for dentistry – initially as a patient here at our office, and then later shadowing our team. That pivotal experience that set him on the path to a fulfilling dental career.
He went on to attend Monmouth College, where he earned his degree while playing collegiate tennis, building lasting friendships, and nurturing his interest in the sciences. Dr. Shie then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he was excited to return home and officially joined QC Family Dentistry in June 2025.
Outside the office, Dr. Shie enjoys quality time with his wife, Elizabeth, and hosting get-togethers with friends and family. He also stays active through tennis and enjoys bass fishing with his family.
Dr. Shie is passionate about building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them feel confident in their smiles. He’s honored to serve the community he grew up in and looks forward to making a positive impact, one smile at a time.
